Attention Beauty and Fitness Lovers. I am going to be starting a healthy lifestyle and I decided I will be blogging the entire process. I started Everything & Nothin’ to share all aspects of my life and passions. I have completely neglected the fitness part of my blog…Chubby Girl Gets Skinny. However, that is about to change! When I started this blog, I began a lifestyle change and lost a good amount of weight. However, I have now gained it all back and then some. Well, that stops NOW! This isn’t going to be a diet or fitness regimen…it is simply an entire lifestyle change. I wanted to share my progress and failures along the way. I know you all will keep me accountable and we can do this together. If you need to make a health change, I hope these posts inspire you and we can become one healthy Everything & Nothin’ family. I have mapped out my measurements which will be updated weekly/monthly. I have a goal section that will include a new food and fitness goal each week. I will keep a running count of these goals so you can start from the beginning with me. Each week I will be adding a new goal to accomplish in each category. In time, I may add more than one goal each week. However, I find the best way to change is to start one step at a time. The food section is my food diary. Pictures of what I ate for the day will be included here. And to finish off each post is the feelings sections. Here I will discuss how I am feeling and how I did with the current week’s goals. I will also give you inside into my personal life. This post is pretty much my health diary! I hope you will enjoy this journey and follow along with me. Even if you have a healthy lifestyle, we can still learn from each other. I would love to hear your weekly goals and any tips/tricks you have. Note: I am in no way a health/fitness expert. This is simply my journey and what I find works/doesn’t work for me. 

Current Measurements

Goal: To lose 1 lb/week

My Stats:

  • Height: 5′ 7″
  • Age: 25

I gained weight last week. Last week was such a stressful and terrible week! I ate horribly and I am brushing it off so I can get back on track!  I know I will get there and it won’t happen over night! This week I am going to continue to focus on snacking and portion control again. I will also increase my work out speed. For my lifestyle goal, I want to start reading again! I will succeed with a healthy lifestyle. As they say, “Rome wasn’t built overnight.” My body will not change overnight. I am so glad I added strength training and my body feels a little sore from it. I love that feeling because I feel like my body is slowly changing.

It is also important to reward yourself for your accomplishments. I am going to be adding an award system each week. If I meet my goals each week, I will reward myself with a little treat! I hope you reward yourself (and not always a food reward) for your accomplishments.

Reward:

This week I will reward myself by working harder. I didn’t accomplish all my goals last week so this week is catch up week. I want that reward so I am going to work harder!

Week 11 Goals

Food Goals:

Week 11: Count Calories for One Week to See How Much I Am Really Eating

I am going to be counting all my calories this week to see how much I am really eating. I will try to stick to the other goals, but I want to see how much I am really eating. All meals and snacks will be counted. I may continue to count calories in the future or I may not. I just want to see how much I am eating.

Week 6 +7 + 8 + 9 + 10: Watch Portions and Be Careful With Snacking

I am keeping with this goal for this week too. I have been failing at this goal! I really want to use the portion control containers that I purchased! It is so important to eat the right portion of food. I find I overeat way too many foods. I am also going to cut back on my bad snacking and start eating fruit and veggies for my snacks.

Week 5: Start to Watch Portions

Week 4: WOAH! Slow down on those unhealthy snacks!

Week 3: Limit fast food consumption to no more than 2x per week

Week 2: Add at least one vegetable a day

Week 1: Drink more water (only 1 nonwater beverage allowed per day)

Fitness Goals:

Week 10 +11: Walk 30 minutes 3 times per week. Add in 15 minutes of strength training 2x this week. Spend 30 minutes outside.

Fitness is so important and moving keeps your body functioning its best. It has been months since I have worked out so I am starting small. I am increasing the intensity to last weeks goal. I will be walking 30 minutes 3x this week. However, I will be adding intervals of more running into my 30-minute walks. I am going to continue strength training for 15 minutes, but I am adding an extra day of strength training. Strength training is important to any fitness routine. As the weeks progress, my fitness routine will become more aggressive as my body gets strong. I will still get at least 30 minutes of sunshine. I can even do my strength training outside! It is so important to get some sunshine. I am upping the intensity this week!

Lifestyle Goals:

I will also be adding a lifestyle goal each week. I think it is important to improve your mind and personality too. A lifestyle change encompasses all aspects of your life. Remember: This is a lifetime journey! 

Week 10: Spend Time Cleaning

I really need to start cleaning my home. I have been so busy and it is starting to get messy. This week I am going to spend some time cleaning up!

Week 7 + 8 + 9: Spend time reading for fun at night

I love to read and I spend so much time reading blogs and other internet information. I miss good ol’ books. Therefore, I am going to spend a few minutes every night away from the internet to read a book.

Week 5 +6 : Wake up and do 10 minutes of stretching/yoga

I always feel better when I stretch/do yoga. I keeping this goal because I didn’t accomplish it last week! I am going to stretch before turning on any electronics!

Week 1 + 2 + 3+ 4: Wake Up By 6:30AM M-F

Accomplishments / Feelings

I am so happy to be starting a lifestyle change. I did terrible with my food goals this week again. Somebody HELP me (haha). But seriously, I really need to get my act together and really watch what I eat. I am going to start really counting calories next week to see exactly how many calories I am eating each day. I am going to pause my goals and dive into what I am really eating. I know within time…I will live the lifestyle I am destined to live. I will accomplish all my goals and achieve a healthy lifestyle. I am NOT going to beat myself up. I am going to pick up the pieces and really get serious. Again, I ate terribly and snacked on so much candy this week. I made terrible choices and that isn’t an excuse…it is the truth. It is beyond time that I tell myself I AM WORTH IT and I WILL DO THIS!

I did well with my fitness and lifestyle goals. I accomplished all my fitness goals. It feels so great to be moving again. I can’t wait to feel my body become even stronger. I also started reading. It feels great taking some time for me. However, I didn’t start my cleaning goal. I have so much to clean up! I hope to start this goal next week.

Q: What is the social event you hate the most?

A: Hmmm…I really don’t know what social even I hate the most. What about you? Do you have a social even that you hate? 

I didn’t do so hot this week either. I am really struggling to find time to cook and eat right. I have been SO busy and I need to put my health first. However, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and I am starting over tomorrow. It is time that I tell myself…I AM WORTH IT and I DESERVE to have a healthy lifestyle. I have more catching up to do this week and a ton of posts to finish. I also have to finish the beauty/fashion blogger collab details so that we are ready to launch. I am so excited about this collab. I really hope to get my butt in gear this week and get everything done. I am going to take time off social media (besides writing blog posts and the collab) so that I can get everything done. I love you all and am just beyond blessed to have you all on this journey with me. WE CAN DO THIS…THIS THING CALLED LIFE!
