Attention Beauty and Fitness Lovers. I am going to be starting a healthy lifestyle and I decided I will be blogging the entire process. I started Everything & Nothin’ to share all aspects of my life and passions. I have completely neglected the fitness part of my blog…Chubby Girl Gets Skinny. However, that is about to change! When I started this blog, I began a lifestyle change and lost a good amount of weight. However, I have now gained it all back and then some. Well, that stops NOW! This isn’t going to be a diet or fitness regimen…it is simply an entire lifestyle change. I wanted to share my progress and failures along the way. I know you all will keep me accountable and we can do this together. If you need to make a health change, I hope these posts inspire you and we can become one healthy Everything & Nothin’ family. I have mapped out my measurements which will be updated weekly/monthly. I have a goal section that will include a new food and fitness goal each week. I will keep a running count of these goals so you can start from the beginning with me. Each week I will be adding a new goal to accomplish in each category. In time, I may add more than one goal each week. However, I find the best way to change is to start one step at a time. The food section is my food diary. Pictures of what I ate for the day will be included here. And to finish off each post is the feelings sections. Here I will discuss how I am feeling and how I did with the current week’s goals. I will also give you inside into my personal life. This post is pretty much my health diary! I hope you will enjoy this journey and follow along with me. Even if you have a healthy lifestyle, we can still learn from each other. I would love to hear your weekly goals and any tips/tricks you have. Note: I am in no way a health/fitness expert. This is simply my journey and what I find works/doesn’t work for me.
Goal: To lose 1 lb/week
- Height: 5′ 7″
- Age: 25
I gained weight but not much. I am still not out of the 24os. However, I am definitely bloated this week. I do feel better and I feel my body is getting tighter. I still need to take my measurements. This week I am really going to focus on snacking and portion control. I will succeed with a healthy lifestyle. As they say, “Rome wasn’t built overnight.” My body will not change overnight. I am so glad I added strength training and my body feels a little sore from it. I love that feeling because I feel like my body is slowly changing.
It is also important to reward yourself for your accomplishments. I am going to be adding an award system each week. If I meet my goals each week, I will reward myself with a little treat! I hope you reward yourself (and not always a food reward) for your accomplishments.
This week I will reward myself by working harder. I didn’t accomplish all my goals last week so this week is catch up week. I want that reward so I am going to work harder!
Week 4 Goals
Week 6: Watch Portions and Be Careful With Snacking
Since I did terrible last week at watching portions, I am going to dive into it this week. It is so important to eat the right portion of food. I find I overeat way too many foods. I am also going to cut back on my bad snacking and start eating fruit and veggies for my snacks.
Week 5: Start to Watch Portions
Week 4: WOAH! Slow down on those unhealthy snacks!
Week 3: Limit fast food consumption to no more than 2x per week
Week 2: Add at least one vegetable a day
Week 1: Drink more water (only 1 nonwater beverage allowed per day)
Week 6: Walk 30 minutes 3 times per week. Add in 20 minutes of strength training 1x this week. Spend 30 minutes outside.
Fitness is so important and moving keeps your body functioning its best. It has been months since I have worked out so I am starting small. I am adding onto last weeks goal. I will be walking 30 minutes 3x this week. I am also going to continue strength training by upping the time to 20 minutes. Strength training is important to any fitness routine. As the weeks progress, my fitness routine will become more aggressive as my body gets strong. I will still get at least 30 minutes of sunshine. I can even do my strength training outside! It is so important to get some sunshine.

I will also be adding a lifestyle goal each week. I think it is important to improve your mind and personality too. A lifestyle change encompasses all aspects of your life. Remember: This is a lifetime journey!
Week 5: Wake up and do 10 minutes of stretching/yoga
I always feel better when I stretch/do yoga. Therefore this week, I am adding it into my routine. I am going to stretch before turning on any electronics!
Week 1 + 2 + 3+ 4: Wake Up By 6:30AM M-F
I FINALLY ACCOMPLISHED THIS GOAL!
- Scrambled Eggs
- Turkey Bacon
- 1 piece cinnamon toast (substitute yogurt)
- Cranberry Juice (one nonwater beverage)
- 1/2 Penn Station Club
- Bob Evans Pot Roast Sandwich
- Fruit Bowl
Accomplishments / Feelings
I am so happy to be starting a lifestyle change. I had a delicious breakfast! My lunch was okay. For dinner, I had Bob Evans. I really need to work on eating out so much. However, I did well with my snacking today!
I did my 30-minute walk today! I didn’t stretch this morning but I plan to tomorrow!
The lovely Brie from Laqing in Creativity is joining me in this journey. It is so important to encourage others and I would love to have all of you join me (even if you aren’t a blogger). Q: What is your most interesting hobby?
A: I don’t know if it is really interesting but I love blogging. I would definitely consider blogging my hobby. I also collect makeup and have way too much (don’t all beauty blogger though?). What about you? What are some of your hobbies?
