Attention Beauty and Fitness Lovers. I am going to be starting a healthy lifestyle and I decided I will be blogging the entire process. I started Everything & Nothin’ to share all aspects of my life and passions. I have completely neglected the fitness part of my blog…Chubby Girl Gets Skinny. However, that is about to change! When I started this blog, I began a lifestyle change and lost a good amount of weight. However, I have now gained it all back and then some. Well, that stops NOW! This isn’t going to be a diet or fitness regimen…it is simply an entire lifestyle change. I wanted to share my progress and failures along the way. I know you all will keep me accountable and we can do this together. If you need to make a health change, I hope these posts inspire you and we can become one healthy Everything & Nothin’ family. I have mapped out my measurements which will be updated weekly/monthly. I have a goal section that will include a new food and fitness goal each week. I will keep a running count of these goals so you can start from the beginning with me. Each week I will be adding a new goal to accomplish in each category. In time, I may add more than one goal each week. However, I find the best way to change is to start one step at a time. The food section is my food diary. Pictures of what I ate for the day will be included here. And to finish off each post is the feelings sections. Here I will discuss how I am feeling and how I did with the current week’s goals. I will also give you inside into my personal life. This post is pretty much my health diary! I hope you will enjoy this journey and follow along with me. Even if you have a healthy lifestyle, we can still learn from each other. I would love to hear your weekly goals and any tips/tricks you have. I hope these posts are fun and inspirational to all of you! Let’s Get Moving!

Note: I am in no way a health/fitness expert. This is simply my journey and what I find works/doesn’t work for me.

Current Measurements

Goal: To lose 1 lb/week

I lost 1lbs last week! I am just so happy! It isn’t a lot but one pound a week will be 52lbs in a year! I think that is awesome and I am proud of myself! I am not out of the 240s!

That is about the weight of this 1lb container of meat. It feels so amazing to be making progress and starting small. Small changes lead to huge accomplishments. It is also important to reward yourself for your accomplishments. I am going to be adding an award system each week. If I meet my goals each week, I will reward myself with a little treat! I hope you reward yourself (and not always a food reward) for your accomplishments.

Reward:

I am going to reward myself this week by buying one good deal I find!

Week 1 Goals

Food Goals:

Week 3: Limit fast food consumption to no more than 2x per week

I eat out way too much and fast food is so tempting. Of course, I never pick the healthiest options either. Therefore, my goal this week is to limit my fast food consumption.

Week 2: Add at least one vegetable a day

Week 1: Drink more water (only 1 nonwater beverage allowed per day)

Fitness Goals:

Week 3: Walk 30 minutes 2 times per week and 15 minutes 1 time per week. Add in 10 minutes of strength training 1x this week.

Fitness is so important and moving keeps your body functioning its best. It has been months since I have worked out so I am starting small. I am adding onto last weeks goal. I will be walking 30 minutes 2x and 15 minutes 1x this week. I am also going to start strength training. Strength training is important to any fitness routine. As the weeks progress, my fitness routine will become more aggressive as my body gets strong.

Note: Before pictures will be coming soon! I can’t wait to see my progress along the way! And I can’t wait to hear/see yours!

Lifestyle Goals:

I will also be adding a lifestyle goal each week. I think it is important to improve your mind and personality too. A lifestyle change encompasses all aspects of your life. Remember: This is a lifetime journey!

Week 1 + 2: Wake Up By 6:30AM M-F

I really want to start waking up earlier. I get so much more done in the morning. Waking up earlier will also help with my fitness goal. I won’t be rushed and will have time to properly workout. I didn’t accomplish this goal last week so it is back again this week.

Quick Review

I was recently sent some amazing coconut water to try from INVO. As you all know, I have been trying to drink and eat more healthy. I love trying all types of water and find ways to get more water into my life. I couldn’t wait to try these waters because they are flavored with juices. They seriously taste so amazing. I also really love the packaging. They have the most adorable website that you will definitely want to check out! The tropical flavor is my favorite. I drank it so fast because it is just so delicious! I highly recommend these coconut waters!

ABOUT COMPANY:

Drinking coconut water is the perfect way to hydrate after a workout, or keep refreshed during extreme weather temperatures.  INVO, a San Francisco-based company, is the summer’s must-have for your beach bag.   From hydration to maintaining a healthy summer glow, coconut water offers a pure taste. With its sustainable farming and production practices, INVO also gives back to the environment.   HPP, which stands for High Pressure Processing, is a cold pasteurization technique, which INVO has named ‘cold-crafting’. This process inactivates bacteria, viruses, yeast and molds that are present in all foods, thereby guaranteeing food safety and extending shelf life.   INVO also utilizes several green practices that give back to the natural environment and to those who cultivate it. Sustainable farming empowers the farmer to work with natural processes to conserve resources such as soil and water, while minimizing waste and environmental impact. INVO’s Nursery Project  also provided Nam Hom nursery trees free to growers in Thailand. As of May, 60,000 nursery trees had been given to local growers.    Made in Thailand, INVO is made from 100% Coconut juice, and is a natural isotonic, filled with electrolytes and helping to promote rapid hydration! Packed with calcium, magnesium and other natural minerals.

Accomplishments / Feelings

I am so happy to be starting a lifestyle change. I had a delicious breakfast and lunch. I had my vegetable today and am happy I didn’t forget it. For dinner, I had another fast food item…Pizza. Therefore, I really can’t have any more fast food this week. I am going to stick to my goal! I really hope this will help me cut down on my fast food intake.

I didn’t wake up at 6:30 AM. I have been having a really rough couple days and just can’t get to bed on time. However, I will master the goal. I did work out today! I did 20 minutes on the treadmill! I really love moving again! I am excited to be adding strength training into my routine.

Today’s Thought-Provoking Question:

Q: Are you where you thought you’d be at this point in your life?

A: Wow! This is such a hard question for me. The answer is NO. I thought I would be a doctor or at least doing my residency right now. I would be married and successful. However, I believe God has other plans for my life. I am anxious to know what they are and where He will take me! What about you? Are you where you thought you’d be?

Work is still so hard and depressing. I know I say it so much but I really am going to miss everyone dearly! I am also feeling so much better now that I am starting this lifestyle journey!  I can’t wait to see what is in store for all of us throughout this journey. I am excited to be living my life again! I would love to hear what all you did today and ate! Share anything with me in the comments below!
