Did you ever get the box? I am thinking of cancelling, resubscribing but they have no options to do anything on my super basic account page.. Other than email and phone number. Because I’ve emailed twice now, with zero response ? I know that won’t suffice. I’m so afraid it will get totally screwed up if I try to cancel and I know through the people who have gotten through to cs they have been super shady about this whole extras thing and old billing/new billing. On msa’s thread a lot of long time subscribers have cancelled due to their cs and newbies getting this box and other extras and them getting nothing after years of being loyal subscribers…such a bummer. It’s infuriating to get no response from cs and having no clue how to fix the situation if you want to. I feel like long time subscribers/bloggers/instagrammers are those that have paved their way to all of their new subscribers yet it’s they who are being rewarded and we can’t even get a response regarding our account.
No I haven’t got it yet!! I am so disappointed! I am going to call them and then call beauty bar too. I think the only option I have is to cancel and resub. I am afraid it will mess my stuff up too! I totally agree with you girl 100%!! We are the ones who get the word out there and get them more subbies! That is why I appreciate Ipsy because they do reward their long time subscribers! OOO and Birchbox. I am going to call them this week!!
Exactly! All of my other subs are super loyal to their subscribers, some amazing. I think Wantable is like A+++ in CS and such, BB too (did you notice, after I mentioned this to you & several times and places PSMH gave current subscribers a day to purchase their newest SE box prior to everyone else?) They clearly got people’s messages, hope they continue doing that.
-That is why I asked if you got yours…It seemed the few that did get emails who were long time subscribers did not ever receive any of the things they were told they would be getting per their emails! Such a bummer. I think they are going to find that they have lost many of their loyal subscribers and if this continues, with newbies getting all of these extras and ‘us’ not. They are going to lose a lot more. It seems to me that they simply must not care and just figure, they’ll take the new ones. Please, let me know if you call and how it goes. It is not looking like I will ever be getting a response.
I totally agree!!! That was so awesome that PSMH did that!! That was just so awesome!!! I totally agree love!! If this continues, I will cancel for good…even though I love this subscription so much! And I definitely will tell you what they say!! I will be taking notes the whole time haha!!
So I cancelled my subscription through Beauty Bar by calling them. However, they cancelled the March one too and refunded me the money. It sucks because now I won’t get the March box, but I signed up through Allure to get the April box. I really wanted the March box…but what can you do? So I wouldn’t call beauty bar to cancel until you have received your March box. I would then cancel through beauty bar by calling them (they are really nice). Then sign back up through allure.com/thebeautybox. You will also get $5 off if you use someone’s link (I used MSA). Therefore, my April box will be only $10. I hope this will fix the problem. If not, I will just cancel all together. Just don’t call Beauty Bar until you get your March box because they cancelled mine and Allure is sold out of them on their site haha. O well guess that is one less review I have to do this month haha!
Geeeeeeeze! Thank you so much for letting me know all of this. I really , really appreciate it! Gee, what a shock that they are sold out when so many people are all over Instagram with their: I signed up for Allure for one month for only $10.00 and then also got this amazing box worth over $100 for free….blah, blah. What a Shady marketing Ploy!!! I still really can’t believe they are behaving this way. If it really is a old subscriber/new subscriber thing all they need to do is send out a mass email apologizing to their LOYAL subscribers and then FIX the issue on their end instead of choosing to flat out ignore it ..and if it ‘somehow’ truly IS simply a random draw like they are telling the few people they actually respond to, and nothing to do with this then all they would have had to do is: again, send an email to EVERY subscriber prior to each new month stating: SOME OF YOU will be receiving extras each month, this month it’s (whatever) if you are in we will send you an email with tracking and so on. That way those who do not get it that month will just be bummed instead of totally mad! It’s basic business ethics, not rocket science. Terrible, Terrible way to run a brand/business and an awful way to do your loyal subscribers. So disappointed. Thanks again I will wait it out until I receive my March box and then give Beauty Bar a call to cancel. I am curious to see if it fixes your issue..BUT I bet that really great box is a one time thing, and simply their Marketing ploy to draw in a ton of new subscribers. No way could they maintain sending boxes and other extras of that caliber out to such a large amount of people at no cost. We probably missed the boat. :/
I totally agree love!!! TOTALLY!!! It is just so frustrating!! And the won’t give a straight answer which is the worst part!! And you are so right a simple email explaining everything would really fix everything and keep us all from getting upset!! It is just so disappointing!! I really wanted my March box, but there isn’t anything I can do about it now haha! I really hope they work all these issues out and fast!!!

It’s totally strange too…as there is clearly an available box b/c you were going to be getting it prior to canceling to resub lol…and I know plenty of people have been doing the same and many just flat out canceling alltogether…I guess being, clearly, two totally separate entities (old accounts and new) all the cancellations cant catch up to the new allure logistics making March boxes available again. Rubbish. 😉

I finally received a really short reply from Allure and they claim it is totally random. -Don’t worry I responded in length questioning all of the rumors about old accounts….being told we need to unsub & resub resulting in missed boxes and the need for being courteous by notifying all subscribers what they are doing…etc etc. 😉

…I’m thinking maybe not every subscriber will get the one you speak of. I know some subscribers have been receiving extras for a while now and there doesn’t seem to be a pattern as to who gets them. 🙁
I think the last one was for tagging a certain tag on Instagram and this one is suppose to be an extra box for all subscribers…at least that is what I heard. I hope they send one to everyone!

I have been a subscriber for a long time and have never gotten an email, including the one from yesterday yet I know people who had just subscribed and began getting emails about receiving extras each month that they have been already getting and they also received the email you got as well, just seems odd especially b/c I had read several people got the email for the extras each month that were no longer even subscribed. haha. Ahh well.xx
I am not sure at all how they are doing it!! It is getting annoying because I wish they would at least tell us how they are picking. Today, the released spoiler pics of a box called “red carpet” but I am now wondering if that is the box we are getting or if it is just some of the products? SOOO confused haha!

Are you still being billed through beautylish or through allure. I would contact them and see why that is happening and if you need to cancel and resubscribe.

Hahaha. Their transition was really weird, like, I didn’t even know it had happened until I went to review a box and my link was no longer working and I checked some things out, then I found out after…It was odd but my login still worked over at the allure login and I had got my box so I was just thinking Whatevs!!! I didn’t hear people actually talking about it until the next month!
I personally, couldn’t take wondering about it anymore lol so I sent them an email inquiring as to the reason. I’ve only got an auto-response thus far but if I hear back I will let you know what they say!!

Ya then you are still being charged through beauty bar! I would contact them and try cancelling and resubscribing because it seems people getting charged by beauty bar are not getting all the extras.
