This tutorial will be the third tutorial in my Mirror Image Series. A mirror image is, “an image or object that is identical in form to another, but with the structure reversed.” Therefore, I plan to take images from nature and life and create makeup looks inspired by these images. The looks will be a reflection of what I see in the image. Beauty is more then just external. It comes from within. The beauty found in nature and in life is beauty in pure form. I hope you enjoy this series and the looks I create.
NORTHERN LIGHTS
It is one of my dreams to see the Northern Lights in person. I love all the colors and just how beautiful they are. These lights are actually collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere. Variations in colors are due to the type of gas particles that are colliding.(1) I think this effect in nature is just gorgeous. I totally wanted to use all these magnificent colors on my eyes. Well let’s get to the tutorial.

This is such a gorgeous look! I’m obsessed with the northern lights, too–I have a pen pal from Norway who’s seen them in person (like, on the regular), and I’m SO jealous. I could imagine this being a really unique style to wear to a winter party to shake up all the typical whites and pale blues 🙂
