Hey my Everything & Nothin’ Family. I just got back from a weeks stay in Crossville, TN. I had such an amazing time and it was just such a beautiful place. It was a more relaxing vacation, but I did have some adventures. I wanted to share a little about what I did while I was there and show you some pictures I took. I hope you enjoy the pictures! I miss Crossville, TN already and I hope to go back soon. So come join me and see what I was doing while I was away from home!
On Saturday, we picked up the rental car and headed out of Ohio. We left around 11:30 AM and arrived in Crossville, TN at around 6:30 PM. The above pictures are from the place we stayed. It was a smaller resort, but very beautiful. I loved the outdoor view. We were literally on the lake. You walked outside and there was the water. It was so awesome. The beds were not comfortable at all and the kitchen was very small, but that was the only issues I had with the resort. I really did enjoy staying here.
When we arrived, we just unpacked and set up for the week. We picked up a few things at the grocery and then just relaxed for the evening.
Sunday, we went shopping. We also ate at Shoney’s for lunch. I love this restaurant so much and they have the best catfish. It is only found in the South and we go there every time we go south. The second row of pics is my dollar tree finds. I found some awesome products. The first picture on the third row is my Burke’s Outlet haul. We don’t have this store in Ohio, but I so wish we did. I found some amazing deals and I love all the items I purchased. I can’t wait to style them. At night, we ate at Zaxby’s. This is another fast food restaurant we don’t have in Ohio. It thought it was okay, but nothing amazing. They serve mainly chicken dishes (which I am obsessed with chicken).
On Monday, I took some pictures of the late. I stayed back at the resort to work on my blog. My parents went out to get groceries and see what all was around. For lunch, I had an amazing hamburger and fries from this restaurant called Vegas. It was so delicious. I meant to take a picture before I ate,but I was so hungry I forgot. The evening came with a great surprise. The rental car we rented had a flat tire. Someone before us incorrectly plugged the tire. The rental company wanted us to tow the car to Knoxville (1 hour and 15 minutes away) and then drive a new rental car back. That is what we had to do. It made for a long night, but I got to see more of Tennessee.
MAKE SURE TO WATCH SLIDESHOW OF HIKE:
On Tuesday, the sun finally decided to come up. I got some amazing shots of the lake and it was just so beautiful. My dad and I decided to take a hike. We went to Fall Creek Falls and did an almost 5 mile hike. We saw so many beautiful waterfalls. Make sure you watch the slideshow to see them all. It was a crazy hike over rocks and tree roots. I was totally worn out and sweated wet by the end. My legs could barely move. We had to climb over huge boulders and walk across swinging bridges. It was all worth it though. This was my favorite day of the whole trip.
At night, my dad went fishing and caught some fish. I took a picture of one of the fish he caught.
On Wednesday, the sun was up in the morning so I got to take a few more gorgeous photos. In the afternoon, we went to see a play called The Foreigner. I was not sure how I was going to like the play because almost everyone there was over the age of 50. However, it was the funniest play I have ever seen. I laughed so hard that I couldn’t breathe. The actors did amazing. I highly recommend seeing this play! It was just so well done.
On Friday, we just stayed back at the resort and relaxed. My dad went fishing again and caught the fish above. It was nice to just relax and not worry about anything.
Friday was another relaxing day. I didn’t take any pictures because I was mainly working on my blog and catching up on things I needed to do. It was nice to just watch the lake and not stress.
On Saturday, we packed up and headed back home to Ohio. I had such an amazing time and can’t wait to go back.
I had such an amazing time in Crossville, TN. I was so sad to come home and get back to reality. It is so nice to take vacations and I always hate to see them come to a close. I can’t wait for my next adventure. I will be busy this week catching up on things around the house and getting back to work. I will resume my normal blogging schedule next week (11/15/15). I hope you enjoyed this post and coming along with me on my adventure. Until next time loves…
