Attention Beauty Lovers! Birchbox released their very own cosmetics line. The name is LOC (Love of Color) and it is in collaboration with the YouTuber Tati. I, of course, had to purchase it right away to review for ya’ll! I love anything that Birchbox does and am so excited that they released their own line. The first set of products were in collaboration with Tati from GlamLifeGuru. I love Tati and couldn’t wait to try her collection. There are many sets available (click here to see them all), but I decided to go with the ultimate collection so I could review everything. The ultimate collection includes all the products and you save money by buying the entire set. There are 5 One & Done Shadow Sticks and 3 Vibrant Matte Lipsticks. Also, the November Birchboxes will include one item from this line. Let’s get to the review!

review of entire colletion:

The entire collection is called LOC Ultimate collection. It includes 9 products in total (5 One & Done Shadow Sticks, 3 Vibrant Matte Lipsticks, and 1 sharpener). It is only $46 and is a $79 value. It is much cheaper to purchase the entire set than to purchase each item individually. I love that Birchbox gives a discount for the entire set.

The products arrived at my door fairly quickly (I did have to wait because they were stocking the items due to being so new). All the products came packaged in one box. I love how compact everything was. This is a perfect set to travel with because you can create entire looks with just one kit. However, I was surprised at how small the products were individually. There is not a lot of product, but I found a little goes a long way.

The shadow sticks and the lipsticks are both highly pigmented. They are also both extremely creamy and very easy to use. I love the colors included in this collection and they work so well for the fall season. I am just so impressed with the pigmentation (keep reading to learn more about the products). Overall, I think this is a great collection and worth the price (especially if you use Birchbox points).

These shadow sticks are small, but very pigmented. They are so creamy and easy to blend. I really love all the shades and they work so well together. There are so many looks you can create with these sticks. They are perfect shades for fall or any time of the year. I was just so impressed with them. Once they are on the eyes, they do not budge. I couldn’t get them off with water. I had to use makeup remover. Below are a couple of quick eye looks I created with these sticks. I love how easy they are to blend and you can use just your fingers to create awesome looks. They didn’t irritate my eyes or make them water. I also like that a sharpener is included, so perfect for travel. I highly recommend these shadow sticks.

The Shades Included (from left to right on the swatch picture):

These matte lipstick shades are stunning. I really love the berry and red shades. The nude shade didn’t look that flattering on my lips. I like it, but I don’t love it. The formula is very creamy and they are very easy to apply. I am totally impressed with the pigmentation. The colors are so perfect for fall and I just can’t get enough of the first two shades. The only negative I have with these is the color does fade in the inner part of the lips first. Therefore, you are left with the color on the outside of the lips and not the inside. I hate when lipsticks do this. The color can transfer easily too. I would definitely recommend wearing a lip liner with these. However, I love the shades so much I will deal with these negatives.

The Shades Included (from left to right on lip swatches):

  • Glam Life
  • Wildest Dream
  • First Kiss

final thoughts:

I am really impressed with Birchbox’s LOC cosmetics line. I love the shadow sticks so much and will be using them all the time. I also love the matte lipsticks shades. I just wish they wouldn’t transfer. However, I will play around with them more to figure out the best way to use them. I highly recommend this collection and feel it is well priced. The ultimate collection is the best deal and I would recommend it. It is a perfect travel collection and will be perfect for everyday use. The shadow sticks work amazing on their own or as a base. I just love them so much. I can’t wait for you all try them in your November Birchbox. Let me know what you think of these? Do you like the shadow sticks, matte lipsticks, or both?
