My June 2015 Guest Editor Birchbox is here! I have two Birchbox accounts. I have signed up on two different emails. I love Birchbox! It is one of the oldest subscription boxes out there. The boxes are so cute and they come with awesome brands. I have discovered many favorite brands through this service. Every month they allow you to pick one of your samples or opt for the guest editor box. On one of my accounts, I opted for the guest editor box. This box usually ships faster as well. The guest editor this month was Meghan Markle. She is the founder of Tig.
Ships: To US, France, Canada, Spain, and the United Kingdom
June 2015 Guest Editor Birchbox First Impression:
This box was so cute on the outside. I loved the pattern! So summery!! The inside contents, however, did not impress me that much. There were 5 items along with a card detailing the items. There was also a surprise code for the month of June to be used in the Birchbox shop. My code was for 20% off a $50 or more purchase. I probably will not be using the code.
Review of Items:
Davines SU Hair & Body Wash
This is a sample size. However, it is a good size sample. It smells amazing! It can be used for both hair and body. I plan to use it as a body wash.
Harvey Prince Hello Body Cream
This is a small sample, but I plan to use it as a hand cream! I love Harvey Prince scents and this one is amazing! It smells so good! I am so excited to use it!
Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow
This is a good size sample. When I first saw it, it looked way too dark for me. However, it blends in nicely and I like it.
Oribe Cote d’Azur Eau de Parfum
I do not like getting small samples of perfume like this. They only last 2-3 uses and many times are given away for free online. I don’t like this scent at all! It is way too strong and just stinks.
Real Chemistry Luminous 3-minute Peel
This is the item I was most excited about and why I chose this box option. I have heard great reviews on this product. It is supposed to instantly reveal softer, smoother, and brighter skin. I am all for that! I cannot wait to try it. It is a good size sample.
This was not my favorite Birchbox or even guest editor Birchbox. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. However, there were 5 products to review so that is essentially $5 to spend in the Birchbox shop. I love that Birchbox has an amazing point system. For every sample you review, you earn 10 points. Once you reach 100 points, you can redeem them for $10 to spend in the Birchbox shop. Therefore, this box was really only $5 if I review every product. I will continue subscribing to Birchbox.
